RULES

A.         Each exhibitor will be responsible for furnishing carrying cages and water containers for each of their entries.

B.         All rabbits must have a permanent tattoo in their left ear. Dates for tattooing and validation are follows:

l. Fancy, Commercial, and Market Rabbits (Trios and Single Fryers) no later than December 12, 2024, at the TGC 4-H Building.

To be eligible to show, rabbits must be tattooed and/or validated on the above

date.

C.         Rabbits must be free of all disease symptoms.

D.         Exhibitors may show 2 entries in each class of Market Rabbits. Classes are Californians, New Zealand, and Satins in Single Fryer and Trio Fryer Pens. This could be a total of 12 entries.

l. Single Fryer Market Pen Division

a.         Only rabbits eligible for Premium Sale

b.         Minimum weight 3 1/2lbs. Maximum weight 5 1/2 lbs

c.          Age limit 10 weeks

d.         Either sex may be shown

e.          Cannot be one from a trio

f.          Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Single Fryer All rabbits must be weighed in the presence of the judge

1.         Trio Fryer Market Pen Division (Pen of 3)

Meat pens shall consist of three rabbits, all of the same breed and variety. Broken group meat pens must be all of the same variety. A meat pen does not necessarily have to come from the same litter.

2.         Fancy Rabbit (no limit on entries)

Please refer to the ARBA rules for your specific breed qualifications

a.         Junior Class - up to 6 months

b.         Senior Class - 6 months and older

c.          Grand Champion & Reserve Champion Fancy Rabbits

3.         Commercial (no limit on entries)

a.         Junior Class -under 6 months

b.         Intermediate Class - 6 to 8 months

c.          Senior Class - 8 months and older

d.         Grand Champion & Reserve Champ Commercial Rabbits

E.         All exhibitors showing rabbits can enter for Showmanship.

Junior Showmanship - Grades 3-5

Intermediate Showmanship- Grades 6-8

Senior Showmanship - Grades 9-12
